I have spent many years in both hospital-based medicine and in general practice. I have worked in lots of hospitals and lots of general practices. I know I have found the best place to work. Mt Druitt Medical & Dental Centre is a large purpose built multidisciplinary medical practice. It offers an excellent physical environment with modern well equipped consulting rooms and all the ancillary health services one could wish for. There is a four-bed treatment room with nursing support, onsite radiology (including ultrasound and CT), pathology collection and pharmacy. Allied health services include dentists, physiotherapists, podiatrist and dietician and there is a dedicated care plan nurse. The reception staff are professional and friendly. The practice management team are knowledgeable and very happy to assist. The practice is very well located for patients being close to the railway station, Westfield shopping centre and the Centrelink office. There is plenty of parking for patients and security parking for doctors. The centre is in the heart of a diverse multicultural community with great medical need. There is the opportunity to do as much or as little procedural work as one is comfortable with. There is flexibility of having appointments and/or seeing ""walk-in"" patients depending on the practitioner's preference. There is great camaraderie between the doctors, nursing staff, allied health and reception team. The centre is busy, the remuneration is high.
