Dr. Shirin Shafiq completed her Master's and PhD in Psychology at the University of Manitoba, Canada. She currently holds full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist and is experienced in assessing and intervening in a wide variety of clinical presentations. Her expertise extends to areas such as Depression, Anxiety, Personality disorders, Self-esteem issues, Anger management, Grief, and Pain Management.
With over 10 years of experience in the private sector, Dr. Shirin Shafiq has worked at various Medical Centres, most recently as a Psychologist at Hereward Hwy Specialist Medical Centre, Blacktown. This extensive experience has equipped her with a deep understanding of the processes within a busy practice, and she excels at maintaining meticulous records while regularly corresponding with GPs as needed.
Dr. Shirin Shafiq has undergone training and practiced in multiple evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
